Momma-Bear

Terilyn Dallon:

Gave birth to, and raised, seven strong headed children.
Loves her husband with every action she takes and word she speaks.
Overcam
e, conquered and loved trials and problems that only hellfire could create. She always loves, when love is scarce.
Has worked a lifetime in heavy labor, has constructed and built more then anyone should have to.
She has cooked and cleaned enough to clean and feed the entire planet once over.
She has counseled and taught more then Socrates, and Plato combined.
While devoting her life to the grueling and intense work of Mother, she has never lost her ability to take control of her own life and make of it what she desires.
Her accomplishments could fill books, and would make one of the best reads ever!

But of all this, the most important thing is her spirit. No matter the difficulty and gloom weighing over her head, she smiles and loves.
She sees the light in my darkness, and my potential when I fail.
She lives Hope and Love. She does more then teach. Teaching the power of positive influence, of building strong morals, and of taking life’s curve balls and turning them into home runs. She lives it, and inspires everyone around her, making us feel and know that we too can do and achieve.

Momma-bear you are my inspiration. I love you and want everyone in the world to know of it! The world needs more of the light that you give. Thank you, thank you so much, for filling my life with it everyday. On this Mothers Day, you should know; you have done more then could have been asked of you. The wonderful thing is, that for you, it isn’t about filling a quota or meeting responsibilities: it’s about the people in your life and what you can do for them. I hope to grow up to be just like you.

I love you.

Work Hard, Play Hard

I am so thankful for my wonderful life. It seems my weeks are loaded with homework, running to classes, keeping the apartment clean, and participating in all the wonderful church and campus activities. But, when it comes to weekends, here at BYU, we play hard.

My weekend was full of lots of fun. Sometimes just those three days can seem like a week itself.

After our last water polo tournament game we went to the high dive. You know the ones that crazy olympic divers jump off? It's a lot higher in person. However, it is pretty fun to just run and jump off something so high!

If you've been to the Old Mill, you know how great it is for beach lovers stuck in a frozen land. Indoors, warm and humid makes for the best sand volleyball court and swimming!

We rented Toby from Puppies for Rent, and got to surprise people like Debbie. Ps. If you want to make someones day; visit them with a puppy, it sort of does the trick.

Sunday morning a bunch of friends came over and we made pancakes, bacon, eggs, lemon juice, orange juice, and had lots of fruit. Can't say that it's not extremely addicting. Can we do this everyday?

Friday night bowling night. John was just getting a little desperate to catch up to my score...

Saturday morning we got to go to this wonderful place called the temple. Specifically, the Timpanogas Temple. Very pretty, very wonderful.

Come on ladies, what's better then yo'man hold'n a puppy? hahaha

Other activities included Ultimate Frisbee, hackie sack wars, moving my roommate out, St. Patricks Pot luck dinner, desert night, and the great group run.

The Academy Awards

YSA 19th ward had a wonderful night dancing and fine dining. We watched each others films, and I was way impressed by everyones skill and creativity. Here is the link to our video on Facebook. It's not the best one there, but highlights and exaggerates some BYU ironies. It's definitely interesting...

Sunday Doodle

There's something therapeutic about drawing. I guess I intended this to be motivational, yet somewhat comical...
Even Big Bird can wake up feeling groggy.
Just ignore the typos.

Look at me, I'm Utah!

For those interested in relocating to the Beehive State;

Hello, my name is Kurtis. In case you were wondering, Utah can get TOO cold. Utah is the place where Cold goes to get cold.

At the Manor House on 9th, being attacked while relaxing on the couch...it's a normal thing. To relax or meditate is not allowed amongst college students anyway.

This night I made the discovery that magnificent things such as an indoor-sand volleyball court exist!

Guys Beware: Girls like boys and dances. When they happen to encounter both of these they are no longer responsible for their sanity.

This would be a picture of Bri getting squished, mostly because we couldn't see her...

RAOC - Random Acts of Coolness, usually seen amongst men when women are in their vicinity.

This is what happens when a girl is impressed by an RAOC, she jumps in.

When mentioning Utah, people tend to conjure images of deserts and tumble weeds. Well, here's what Utah has done with their deserts and tumble weeds:

It's also one of the few places I know where you mention 'religious speaker' and the college boys and girls fill the house.

Oh yeah, Cosmo lives here.

You can find him at Volleyball games. One day I'll be playing on that court.

You also find a lot of people praying. Now that is cool.
